Modern country living demands a few shiny luxuries, but proper decor of our comfort zones must show a respectful homage to our forefathers, especially to the farmers who fed our ancestors and became the backbone of this growing nation.
That's where we come into play. Because most decorative pieces won't survive the neglect and vandalism that befalls a farmhouse that has been abandoned for decades, the occasional recovered decor is a true needle in a haystack rarity that needs to be cherished by the restorer and new owner alike.
Many vintage art pieces have required over 100 hours of restoration work to become the family heirloom piece it once was. The wood is restored to it's former glory, and embellishments are recreated by laser and hand etched as it was the day the art was originally created.
Not a single restored piece is perfect, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Ranging from 25 to 100 years old, each vintage art piece has a unique personality that was passed down by it's farmer-creator, and we make every effort to preserve that individuality. Some pieces will support a splash of color to make it even more special, a personal decision on the part of the restorer since very little coloring was used on farmhouse primitive art.
Recovering the extensive labor cost is the primary factor in choosing our price point, which unfortunately puts our top shelf decor just barely out of reach of the average decor shopper.
{Pop does make a few family oriented personal pieces in his down time from local woods to satisfy the middle-shelf market, which require far less effort.}
